The residential real estate market continues to improve in Guilford County. 1845 homes sold in the 3rd qtr. in comparison to 1594 sales int he 3rd qtr. of 2014. That’s a 15.8% increase. (There was a 7% increase in sales 2nd qtr. vs. 3rd qtr.)
Other good news: The average sales price was $187,513 which is a 2.5% increase over 3rd qtr. 2014.
Inventory continues to shrink. Overall we have 6.5 mos. of inventory which is a 13% decrease from 3rd qtr. 2014. And prime northwest neighborhoods, especially in the lower price ranges, are experiencing even greater shortages.
Bottom line, if you are considering making a move, NOW might be a better time to get your home on the market instead of waiting until you have more competition in the spring.
